Basic Guidelines for a Safe and Fun Boating Experience

1. Age Restrictions:
a. Boat Rentals: Minimum age requirement for renting a boat is 18 years.
b. Jet Ski Rentals: Minimum age requirement for operating a jet ski is 16 years.

2. Valid License:
a. Boat Rentals: Renters must possess a valid boating license or certificate, as required by local laws and regulations.
b. Jet Ski Rentals: Renters must possess a valid personal watercraft (PWC) license or certificate, as required by local laws and regulations.

3. Safety Equipment:
a. Life Jackets: All renters and passengers must wear a US Coast Guard-approved life jacket while on board or operating any watercraft.
b. Safety Orientation: Prior to renting, all customers must attend a comprehensive safety orientation that covers basic operation, rules, and safety guidelines for the specific watercraft being rented.

4. Security Deposit:
a. A security deposit will be required for all rentals to cover any damages, loss, or negligence. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the watercraft in its original condition.

5. Rental Agreement:
a. Renters must sign a rental agreement that outlines the terms and conditions of the rental, including responsibilities, liabilities, and any additional fees or charges.
b. The agreement includes a clear statement of the renter's responsibilities for the watercraft, safety guidelines, and local laws and regulations.

6. Weather Conditions:
a. Rentals may be subject to weather conditions and availability. Manta Marine Rental reserves the right to cancel or reschedule rentals in case of adverse weather conditions or safety concerns.

7. Operating Guidelines:
a. Renters must operate the watercraft responsibly and in accordance with local laws and regulations.
b. Speed limits, no-wake zones, and restricted areas must be strictly adhered to at all times.

8. Intoxication and Substance Use:
a. Renters must not operate any watercraft while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substances.
b. Manta Marine Rental reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who appears to be under the influence.

9. Reporting Accidents and Damage:
a. Renters must immediately report any accidents, injuries, or damages to Manta Marine Rental, providing all relevant details and cooperating with any investigations.

10. Customer Responsibilities:
a. Renters are responsible for the safekeeping of the watercraft and any equipment provided during the rental period.
b. Renters should return the watercraft on time and in the same condition as received, excluding normal wear and tear.
